Well AbandonmentThe State of Wisconsin recommends that any unused wells or sandpoints be abandoned properly. We do this by filling them with either bentonite chips or in the case of sandpoints filling them with cement slurry. This keeps contamination from entering the water table through that old well or sandpoint.
